Anti-aging clinics have many different remedies for anti-aging instead of performing a surgical face lift. Most of these options are injectable methods. The different injectable methods that an anti-aging clinic might offer include Botox, collagen, fat transfer, Juvederm, Sculptra, and Radiesse.
The Botox injection is not necessarily a filler to firm the skin. Wrinkles are caused by the muscles contracting in the skin. Anti-aging clinics use Botox injections to paralyze the muscles causing the contractions, which improve the wrinkles in the forehead and around the eyes. This method can last up to six months and is approved by the FDA.
Anti-aging clinics use collagen fillers to improve signs of aging in the skin also. The two different types of collagen include bovine-based and human-based fillers. These fillers may last up to four months. It is said that with after several treatments of the human-based collagen, the results may last for life. Both types of collagen are approved by the FDA for clinics to use cosmetically.
Anti-aging clinics often use fat transfers also. This is when the doctor may extract fat from an area of your body and then reuse the fat cells to inject in an area such as your lips, under the eyes, to eliminate frown lines, and crow’s feet. Fat transfer methods are not always guaranteed but they can have results much better than fillers. The fat transfer method does not need approval from the FDA because you are injecting your own fat back into your body, not a substance.
Radiesse is a method that anti-aging clinics use to improve the radical signs of aging also. This injection contains CaHa particles. The particles are usually suspended in a water-based solution and once they are injected, they are known to improve the appearance of scars and wrinkles. However, Radiesse is not recommended for the lips because the size of the particles is too large. This type of treatment has been approved by the FDA for medical treatments.
Anti-aging clinics have many different methods for treatment of wrinkles and aging. They can also help improve the unsightliness of a scar too. These methods are much cheaper than the surgical method and the results can be instant rather than waiting a few weeks from surgery.
